New to Coaching?
If you are new to coaching a mini team, I would recommend downloading the SOCCER-COACH-L manual listed above. In addition, on the North Alabama Soccer site, select the Coaching Manuals link, and you will find a number of manuals targeting specific age groups. Next, take a look at the Strong Soccer video clips for dribbling moves you can teach. Finally, attend the coaching sessions put on by the RYSA on Sunday mornings (run in parallel with the kids Training and Development sessions).

Medical History Form
As part of your risk management procedure for your team, you should have each player fill out a confidential medical history form. You should retain these forms in confidence in case of a medical emergency. You can download sample forms in either Word Document here (inside a zip file),  or an Adobe Document here.

Game Player Rotation Forms
Coaches who are running 6 aside mini teams may find it useful to draw up a rotation schedule for substitutions to ensure all players get equal playing time. Fil Vera has provided some sample Word Document templates for this purpose. Its a great way to get some of your other parents to help out so you can focus on coaching. You can download a zip file containing these templates here.
